AFROTC at Purdue began in 1946 as part of Army ROTC and became its own program in 1949. Since then, its graduates have become top Air Force and Space Force officers, leaders in and out of the military, and even astronauts. Based at a respected university, Detachment 220 is known as one of the nation’s top officer training programs.
